Life Lessons From An Imperfect Woman

asilver-authorWhy you should read this book:

The reason you should read this book is simple: I’m just like you, and I’ve maneuvered myself through some crazy and difficult stuff. There isn’t much I haven’t experienced. I’ve experienced the beginning of life five times when my children were born and I’ve twice had my hand on the pulse of someone I love deeply as they exited their physical bodies. Both were scary in certain ways, but liberating and miraculous at the same time. I found both birth and death to be equally miraculous and beautiful.

If you’re at all like me, and I’m pretty sure we are alike in many ways, you’ve had times in your life when you’ve wished someone would come along with some answers to some difficult questions and quandaries you find yourself in. I’ve been so blessed to have those people come in and out of my life over the years and they’ve taught me so much. I’m in awe of the people I’ve crossed paths with throughout my life and what each has taught me–the imprint they’ve all left on my soul. I want to share what I’ve learned and pass along what my teachers, mentors, coaches, children, husbands, bosses, losses, employees, businesses, jobs, pets, money, and everything in between has taught me.

It’s been a wild ride, filled with the unexpected, both good and bad. It’s funny (well, not really), but the bad is what stands out more…because my challenges have always been my greatest teachers and bring the best rewards. Things are always the best right after they are the worst. If in your life you’ve been challenged, or you think you may experience things like being broke, being abused, addiction, adultery, divorce, parenting, co-parenting, blended families, death, teenage pregnancy, legal issues, self-hatred, self-doubt, body issues, depression, chronic illness, lack of education, lack of support, etc., I’m the gal for you! And I know the way through. I’ve got the map! Let me tell you, the destination is pure bliss. The view is spectacular, and I can’t wait to show it to you.

Seriously, I have so many answers for you–the kind of answers that are shared between friends51h101gnjkl who are keeping in real with one another. I also commit to be vulnerable, keep it real and show my real self in hopes of helping you see and love your real self. You’ll find in these pages some of my most embarrassing and pitiful moments and what I learned from those painful times. Pitiful! Ridiculous and humorous too. I do laugh at my younger self regularly. Someone, besides my kids, has to. I’ve done some stupid stuff. LOL

Your physical body may not be able to sit and have a cup of coffee, tea or a glass of wine at my bistro table while we visit, laugh and possibly cry about life–the one thing we all have in common. But your spirit certainly can! So, my spirit would like to invite your spirit to connect with me “in spirit” at my bistro table. It’s where some of my most life-changing, thought provoking, awaking moments happen between me and my friends. We laugh, we cry, we celebrate and we live our fullest selves when sitting at my bistro table, a party of two, sharing intimate and vulnerable conversation.

Loving you… Nadine

Now…if you’re accepting my invitation, and I hope you are, let’s get to talking about life. I’m super excited to share what life has taught me…so far.
