10 Minutes A Day Is All You Need…

It seems lately I keep stumbling on challenges on Facebook that invite me to challenge myself to do the things I know I need to be doing, but don’t choose to make time for.  Yesterday I accepted a challenge to write for 10 minutes every day and here I am.  ( I hope I don’t get challenged to change the way I eat, drink and am merry!  Oh no!  I’m not sure I’m ready to take on that challenge. I really enjoy my life so much that I’m not looking to make changes in that regard.  We shall see what happens. )

As a writer, writing is key to my success, yet lately I haven’t been making time for it and so I’m glad I accepted this challenge to make myself do what I know I need to be doing, every day… writing.  It’s good for the soul and helps when you want to keep writing books, like I do.

The other challenges I have accepted have been screen-shot-2016-09-08-at-3-51-34-pmpretty life changing.

The first one was the Vulnerability Challenge, which required me to be vulnerable for 100 days on Facebook.  Boy did that challenge me more than I thought it would.  I didn’t realize how much I like to stay hidden until I did that challenge.   I hit a turning point on that challenge when I posted a photo of my first painting.  I was absolutely terrified at how it would be received and what people would think of me and my ability to create “art” with a paintbrush, paint and a canvas. I was totally overwhelmed when I was received with open arms, acceptance and several offers to purchase my first painting!  I called my artwork “art” for several weeks until my friend Monica Day told me on Facebook that she didn’t see “art,” she only saw art.    If you’re interested, you can see my art collection and purchase my art on Fine Art America.   Just the fact that I have my art on Fine Art America blows my mind!  Then add to it  that people actually have my art hanging in their homes…are you kidding me.!  Who knew!

The second challenge I accepted was the Facebook Live challenge, which meant I had to do Facebook Live for 10 days straight…and I did.  It was an awesome experience and has lead me to taking another 10 day Facebook Live Challenge to keep the momentum going.  Feel free to follow me on Facebook where I’m very active if you’re interested in seeing any of my live broadcasts…I’ve had great feedback and plan to continue on past the 10 day challenge.  It’s changed some of my relationships for the positive and I’m so grateful that I took the challenge to stretch myself out of my comfort zone.

So, what challenges have you accepted that have been life changing?  What challenge do you wish would come along to make you do something you’ve been hesitating to do!?!?  Where are you stuck that a challenge like the ones I’ve mentioned above will help you get “unstuck?”  I’d love to hear from you and you never know…I might just come along and challenge you to do whatever it is you’re looking to be challenged at.

I’m 20 minutes in to this post and if I hadn’t agreed to this challenge, I can promise you I wouldn’t have gotten in done.

Much love and many blessings…

Nadine
